DescriptionOnce the location for a retail sports nutrition store is approved, a 'Territory' is granted, typically a 5-mile radius from the store's front entrance. This area may vary based on population density and transportation routes. Within this territory, the franchisor will not grant other S2 franchises or operate competing S2 businesses selling nutritional and dietary supplements. However, the franchisor can operate or allow other similar businesses not under the S2 mark, sell products through other channels (Internet, catalog, telemarketing), and acquire similar businesses within or outside the territory. Franchisees do not receive an exclusive territory and may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other distribution channels.

A new franchise agreement with potentially different terms must be signed, and a renewal fee paid. Notice must be given 180-270 days prior to expiration.
Transfer FeeBetween $5,000 and $12,000
Transfer ConditionsTransferee must be of good moral character, have good credit, not be a competitor, and have sufficient financial and business qualifications. A new franchise agreement must be signed, and all fees paid to franchisor and affiliates. The transfer fee is $5,000 if to an existing franchisee (3+ years, in compliance) or immediate family member, otherwise $12,000. Franchisee must release claims against franchisor and indemnify franchisor for transferee claims for 3 years.
Termination for CauseFranchisor may terminate immediately for voluntary abandonment, felony conviction, material misrepresentation, unauthorized assignment, bankruptcy, consistent failure to submit reports or pay fees (after cure period), consistent failure to pay suppliers, three breaches in 12 months, loss of store location, or other material breaches not cured within 30 days.
